Slated to be located alongside the serpentine
Sheik Zayed Bridge (by Zaha Hadid), the
Helix Hotel by
Leeser Architecture is the latest jewel in the landscape of
Zayed Bay in Abu Dhabi. Drawing the name from its staggered floor plates, the five-star hotel is designed to partially
float in water, while the remaining part rests on the bay. The luxury hotel will accommodate
208 guest rooms and suites, arranged around the helical floor that
keeps shifting (width and the design) to keep the architecture stable on the mounting waves of the bay. The hotel also features an
indoor waterfall that maintains a cozy temperature using the natural source. Therefore, the Helix Hotel not just presents a stunning architectural design, bejeweled with modern luxuries. But it also helps in sustaining the environment.
